Hello world!

by dfwpadmin | Apr 8, 2016 | Uncategorized

Early Sunday morning I airbrushed a stylized American flag on a t-shirt that I asked Cynthia to wear.

In one of the photographs I took the day before the student massacre, I posed Cynthia as if she herself been shot.

The last photograph I took on May 3rd was of Cynthia hugging the image of a black Marine. It was a recruitment ‘standee’ that was attached to a tree. As I knelt with elbow resting on knee, my face pressed to camera and looking through the viewfinder, a National Guardsman had crept up to me. Clutching the barrel of his M1 Garand, he swung. Even though his target was my head, only the camera shattered and ironically the film chamber stayed intact. Visibly shaking, he then ordered me not to take photographs.
